For our September event, we're partnering with Seattle Good Business Network and Bring Naturally to Seattle, to visit our mutual friend across the Sound, Finnriver Farm & Cidery!

You don't have to be a member of any of our organizations to attend, you just have to be interested in having fun, supporting the local economy, and networking with people who aim to use business as a force for good.

We'll gather in the Hay Barn and there will be plenty of space, so feel free to bring the family and make a whole day trip out of it because there will be optional tours happening before this networking event (info coming soon), and live music after (starting around 5/6 PM).

Free parking is available on-site. If you are coming from another area of Washington, carpooling is strongly encouraged.

About Our Host: Finnriver Farm & Cidery

The Finnriver crew farms and ferments on 80 acres of organic farm and orchard in Chimacum, along a restored salmon stream on the north Olympic Peninsula.

While the farm is remote, they're honored to be at the forefront of the Pacific Northwest hard cider revival and we are committed to producing both traditional and innovative hard ciders using premium, organic ingredients while maintaining an authentically farm-crafted and land-based operation that is a Washington State Certified Organic Farm, with Salmon-Safe certification as well.

Let's get together and help fix furniture for a good cause!

Reduce, Reuse, Repair...

We're getting our hands dirty to make furniture more sturdy and purty. Why? Because it reduces waste and supports refugees and people emerging from homelessness. Plus, it's a fun way to connect with your impact-driven business community.

Join us on Saturday, June 8th, from 11 am to 2 pm and for a hands-on volunteer experience!

No furniture repair skills are required, but you will learn some.

Feel free to come alone, or with coworkers, family, or friends. There isn't an age restriction but note that the space is a bit too dangerous for kids younger than 12 (lots of sharp objects).

We recommend work clothes as some tasks may be messy. Closed-toe shoes are required. Since we're in between seasons, bring layers just in case.

Join Washington B Corp Collective in our first volunteer event. Come help us repack pet food and hygiene items for Ballard Food Bank.

Ticket to entry is one or more of the items listed below:

• Dog or cat food. Can buy ANY brands- Costco size or even opened packs- we will portion and reallocate. The more the better. This is the highest asked for item at the food bank.

• Cat litter. Same- buy in bulk and we can portion for them

• Tampons

• Menstrual Pads

• Q-Tips

• Diapers sizes 4,5, and 6

• First aid kits and/or materials

• Bandaids

• Alcohol wipes

• Latex gloves

• Antibacterial ointment

• Feel free to get inventive! If you have lots of toothbrushes at home? Bring! Anything that can help give people access to care we will help pack up!
